Hello, community!  Today, I just received some Tutu reference material in the mail and I'd like to share some of it with you!  In total, there has to be about 125 of these things.  Since I don't have much time today to scan, but I was much too excited to not share with everyone, here are 18 of them that I thought are either interesting or could be useful to fanart or fanfiction.  (If you want to see more images like this, Mangaka_chan shared some images from her Materials Collection here)

I never considered that Mytho and Fakir's swords were different sizes.  It looks like their sword heights were designed to be  relative to the characters' heights.

BEWARE, IMAGE HEAVY!! )

Hi, everyone!  I'm selling a bunch of Princess Tutu doujinshi on ebay right now if you'd like to take a look.  I've set the prices to less than what I paid for them so you should get a good deal.

The stories are pre-series, post-series, during series, an au, and just a whole hodgepodge of goodies.  Mostly Fakiru but you do see some Mytho/Rue in some as well.

CLICK!!

Also, does everyone realize this year is Princess Tutu's 10th Anniversary???  How exciting is that?

Wow, long time no post in this community (let alone any LJ community).

So, why the update? Because two commissions that I recently paid to have done (for Princess Tutu) have been completed! :D

My Princess Tutu shrine is slowly growing.  Last year I purchased the "This Pendent Heart" fanbook by Mangaka-chan and Lunasphere.  This year, I've purchased the 6 individual DVD volumes released by ADV (I already owned the 1st complete collection, but I wanted the individual volumes for the artwork) and these two commissions.  There's someone who has (had?) the gashapon I was going to buy from, but she's misplaced the box and can't find them.  If she's able to find 'em, I'll purchase them from her, but otherwise it's currently up in the air.  And at some point this year I plan on purchasing this artbox from Paul Champagne to hold the individual PT volumes I purchased.  I'm not quite certain what else I can buy to add to my shrine (that one Princess Tutu figure looks really gorgeous, but I'm probably going to have to hold off for a long while considering the amount of money it is).  If anyone has any ideas, I'd appreciate them.

And now, for the commissions... )

Thanks for looking!

Help?

Hi all,

I've recently started watching this series and am thinking about making an amv. Only problem is I don't have any episodes! I've spent so long looking my eyes are sore so I'd be very grateful if someone could lend me a hand in trying to find some ddls. Specifically I'm looking for episodes which are:

- Raw or english dubbed ( ie no subs)
- MP4 (preferably) or avi format
- good quality (doesn't have to be high def, just good enough quality to make masking easy)

Thanks in advance!

I'm curious about it and I don't have the DVD. So please tell me whether the trailer has the English subtitle if anyone has the DVD.
If it has, please give me the complete one, for my friends and I are discussing the meaning of the trailer and we want to translate it to Chinese.

Hi everyone! I just found out about this group and I'm super pumped!! I just really love Princess Tutu :D. But anyhow, I don't know if this is okay, but I have a request. So, once upon a time, there was this website that was selling one of the most beautiful figures I have ever seen. Princess Tutu looked absolutely marvelous. But, they sold this figure about two years ago and I don't know if they will release her ever again. I asked the website if they would, but they said that they did not know when or if they will again. So, hope was lost. But then, I recently discovered that the popular figures would have the chance of being released again if they made the top 100, so hope has sprouted again! The only problem is that most people have forgotten about this wonder so it's not on the list. So here is my request: Would people be willing to put Princess Tutu in their wish list on this website? She may have a better chance of being released then: http://www.e2046.com/product/7891. You can also have a chance of having a magnificent figure of Princess Tutu if you do put her in your list..... Please let me know if you all can help!! ^^ Thanks!

Does anyone know where to buy them? They are so cute!
I don't know how to contact the pictures' owner.

Otherwise, any of you happen to know that the orchestra that played Princess Tutu's music (both the classical and series-exclusive) is called Sofia Symphony Orchestra? Well, I just found out now (thus revealing how much of an epic dork I am) that they actually exist in the Amazon marketplace. (And presumably other places, but for convenience's sake)

As in, go listen to Sofia's Swan Lake and Sleeping Beauty and Nutcracker music -- they are identical to Tutu's versions. Unmistakeably. I SWEAR.

Here's one album that you can listen for yourself that has most of them:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002I3TGOI

Yeah, and I think that's the Ruslan & Ludmilla that was likely used in the Tutu series (seeing as all the rest of the ones on the OST are done by that orchestra), so if you have to have the one that's used in the series...pretty sure that should be it. And no, that one piece is not on the Tutu OST. =P

...But that's all of course if you are as much of a geek as I am that can tell any difference between orchestras playing the exact same song. ^^;; You can find plenty of other recordings by other orchestras that sound just as good or better -- just not *exactly* what Tutu used. lol

Here's a list of all the other music that they've recorded of you can buy mp3s of in case you're curious and pretend that it's a part of a supplementary Tutu soundtrack *is shot*:

http://www.amazon.com/s/qid=1303331267/ref=sr_pg_2?ie=UTF8&keywords=Sofia%20Symphony%20Orchestra&rh=n%3A163856011%2Cn%3A!624868011%2Ck%3ASofia%20Symphony%20Orchestra%2Cp_n_feature_browse-bin%3A625151011%2Cp_n_feature_browse-bin%3A625151011&page=2

(And since I'm guessing people will ask, and since there's really no reasonable way to actually buy the things since they were packaged with the limited edition first press of the Japanese DVDs....here are some links for the discs of the official Tutu OST itself:
http://www.downloadost.com/Ost-2009-11-09-3389-princess-tutu-konzert-vol-1-ost.html
http://www.downloadost.com/Ost-2009-10-26-910-princess-tutu-konzert-vol-2-ost.html
http://www.downloadost.com/Ost-2009-10-25-642-princess-tutu-konzert-vol-3-ost.html
Go on and compare them, I dare you! 8D )

I was originally planning to do a second sale of This Pendent Heart at the end of last year to give people who still want to purchase a copy an opportunity, but a lot of stuff was going on at school and I just didn't have the time and energy. Right now things are a little more relaxed for me, but I'll have more things on my plate soon. >>;; That's why [livejournal.com profile] spheralunaris and I have decided to extend the sale of TPH until the end of March. So if you'd like to purchase a copy of This Pendent Heart please don't miss this last opportunity before we retire the book!

So I was searching in Google for the English Logo for PT, and I came across this! It's a bunch of collectable figurines for princess tutu. They've got a bunch of photos on the page, so here's the link. I don't know if it was posted before, but I thought this was really cool and I'd share it.

Hey guys! I was just checking out RightStuf's current specials and noticed they've put the Princess Tutu USA boxset on sale! They're currently selling it for only $25 plus shipping, which is a pretty good deal I think. (Particularly since I spent something like $130 on the singles when I first got 'em...) I don't know if there's anyone on the comm that doesn't have the DVDs yet, but if you haven't had a chance to and have some extra cash around, now might be the time to do it.

The length of time RightStuf has stuff as part of their weekly specials tends to sorta vary--they change every Thursday, but sometimes items will be part of the weekly specials for several weeks, or go off special and come back on special. (One of the other items listed, the Baccano! boxset, has been going on and off special since December--I got it for the special price a few months back.) So if you need to wait a bit but want to get it later, keep checking the specials, it might stick around. (I wouldn't count on it, though, or let it lull you into a sense of security.)

so...yeah. :V I don't know if this'll be helpful for any of you, but I noticed it so I figured I'd let everyone know, just in case.

(oh! As a footnote, I just started school this week, so I've been a little busy and I've had a hard time keeping up with posts to the comm...sooo if you need me to do some modly stuff, feel free to message me or one of the other mods and let us know, just in case I miss stuff.)

Update: Sales are now closed. Thanks to everyone who supported the project!

For the past year [livejournal.com profile] spheralunaris (aka Lunasphere on fanfiction dot net) and I have been working on a fan-made light novel version of her fanfic, This Pendent Heart. The completed story and illustrations have been posted on our website, HERE, so it would be accessible to everyone. But we've also had quite a few fellow PT fans who have expressed an interest in purchasing a hard copy of the light novel. Initially we were a bit hesitant, but after considering the amount of interest in the fandom we're happy to announce that we are making the This Pendent Heart fanbook available for purchase!

DVD scans

Hey guys, just thought I'd share with everyone~ [livejournal.com profile] willag had asked for scans of all 6 DVD cases. My scanner apparently isn't the best, but the images are pretty large so here you go:

http://www.sendspace.com/file/3zg85b

(I apologize for bad cropping XD)

It's a .rar, and I also included front and back of all the inserts.

As far as light and dark cases goes, I was wondering what everyone else has theirs on? I have mostly shounen anime, so I have the dark side facing outward to match the dark colors on the rest of my shelf. (And also, not gonna lie: Rue in lacy lingerie is kinda hot. >D)

And, should I have put this under the "screencaps" tag even though technically, they're scans? This has been resolved!
