The Ultimate Anime Showdown
is a community where each week anime characters face off in combat. The winner is chosen by majority vote.

You can learn more about this comm by visiting the userinfo (link above) or you can jump right into the fun and go vote at
[info]anime_showdown for the person you think will win in this week's battle. Polls are open for a week before the winner is announced and another battle is presented.

The victor of the first battle between Edward Wong Hau Pepelu Tivrusky IV (Cowboy Bebop) and Winry Rockbell (Fullmetal Alchemist) was: Edward Wong Hau Pepelu Tivrusky IV (44-40)

Now follow over to [profile] anime_showdown  to cast your votes on whether Winry Rockbell lived or died in her battle against Ed.

For the fan-writers (and artists), there is a special challenge posted with this week's poll.  Follow over to see how you can contribute your artistic talent to The Ultimate Anime Show Down.

Second Battle:
Faye Valentine (Cowboy Bebop) vs. Fujiko Mine (Lupin III)

X-Posted in various communities. I always try and reread the comm rules to make sure this post is permitted. [profile] anime_showdown is an all anime comm, dedicated to all anime, not just one. If I am breaking a rule by posting this, I apologize. If you will tell me at once, I will not only take down the post, but I will make note not to continue making similar posts in the future. Thank you.

Hi! I'm [livejournal.com profile] ethelflaed, and I am addicted to Princess Tutu. ^^; I am also about to spend five months separated from it, which is an unhappy thought.

I watched it with two of my friends because one of them praised it so highly; now I own it, and three more of my friends have gotten into it (and one of them has also bought the show). It's a great show, but I suppose everyone reading this already knows that. Incidentally, did it remind anyone else of Stephen Sondheim's Into the Woods? The biggest parallel, for me, was not so much the drawing upon fairy tales but the similar structure: the first half is a somewhat standard, but interesting story that reaches a conclusion with one unresolved element, and the second half explores the consequences. And, of course, they both have great music. . . .

One thing I found particularly interesting even at the very beginning was spoilers, maybe ).

A question. . .a friend of mine found this icon, and she can't find out who to credit for it. I've looked through [livejournal.com profile] tutu_icons without seeing it, so. . .does anyone know who made it? ^^;

Thanks!

[EDIT] [livejournal.com profile] kaitou_marina has kindly let me know who made the icon; since it's a personal one, I've taken the image down and let my friend know. ^^; Thanks again!

I know my activity has been down and I apologize. ^^; Sometimes your muses just don't work with you. :/

I have been happily roleplaying PT characters on an LJ RP, so that's a big part of the reason I haven't even logged into this account much. ^^; I really hate logging in and out of seperate accounts. (If anyone has interest in Multi-fandom RPs for some reason, let me know o.O It's a really huge one, and very active. Lot of fun.)

I was waiting on better software before I made any more AMVs, but as it turns out, all that doujinshi and stuff I've been getting from Yahoo Japan is completely killing me with extra fees and crap. I could not believe the bills. Therefore there is no better movie-making software in my near future. -_-; So I'm currently working on a Rue Tribute (Rue--->Mytho). I'm not sure when I'll be done with it and it'll still be with crappy old WMM, but hopefully  I'll have that to share with you soon.

Anyway, I did a holiday sketch almost a month ago that I hadn't posted here. I had planned to, but I thought I'd have the motivation to CG it, first. ...And well, basically, I didn't. ^^;; So it's really late for the season, but I hope you can enjoy it anyway. I don't know if or when I'll get around to CGing it. Or any of the other load of ideas I've had for more fanart.

I need my muses to wake up again. I miss fandom-loving. This fandom needs more love again. ;_;
