Hey, I'm wondering if anyone has a Rue school uniform they're looking to sell? I really want to cosplay as her for a convention in August. I don't have a sewing machine so I can't make a costume, so my options are asking someone to sell their costume or getting a commission.
Thanks!

I was stoked when I saw at some point, a Princess Kraehe garage kit was made!
I want one!

I'm ordering some costumes for Sakura Con, Prince Siegfried!Mytho, Raven Prince!Mytho and Princess Tutu. Unfortunately, the team making the costumes need better pictures of Raven Prince!Mytho than I have, and I'm this close to just drawing my own. Before I do that, do any of you have pictures (screenshots, official pictures, fanart etc.) I can use for costume design?

Thanks for any help you guys can provide!

EDIT: THANKS YOU GUYS. The team making the costumes says they've got some good pictures now. Thank you again!

Hi everyone! I just found out about this group and I'm super pumped!! I just really love Princess Tutu :D. But anyhow, I don't know if this is okay, but I have a request. So, once upon a time, there was this website that was selling one of the most beautiful figures I have ever seen. Princess Tutu looked absolutely marvelous. But, they sold this figure about two years ago and I don't know if they will release her ever again. I asked the website if they would, but they said that they did not know when or if they will again. So, hope was lost. But then, I recently discovered that the popular figures would have the chance of being released again if they made the top 100, so hope has sprouted again! The only problem is that most people have forgotten about this wonder so it's not on the list. So here is my request: Would people be willing to put Princess Tutu in their wish list on this website? She may have a better chance of being released then: http://www.e2046.com/product/7891. You can also have a chance of having a magnificent figure of Princess Tutu if you do put her in your list..... Please let me know if you all can help!! ^^ Thanks!

I made this at the start of the year (well near enough to) for my best friend's birthday, and am only now getting photos. I'm actually quite proud of it, thought I don't think I'll be making another one any time soon. Sorry about the image quality, but I only have a camera in my phone.

So, I've had that Sleeping Beauty ballet outfit that Ahiru wore in episode 6 on my cosplay list forever and the fabric sitting around for about a year and a half.
It's finallyyy coming together (just a few things need to be fixed/added/done) on it and I decided to do a test run to see how it fits. Decided to share photos here~~

I used the Butterick 4131 pattern for the bodice. I was originally going to try to use a real ballet pattern but didn't end up doing that for some reason.
I made up the skirt/plate though I wish it was wider. It used to be but once I lined it, it got smaller. (I should have known DD: If I am not lazy I guess I'll remake it.)

Does anyone know where to buy them? They are so cute!
I don't know how to contact the pictures' owner.

Hey guys! I know someone posted a video of this performance on here a while back, shortly after it surfaced online. HOWEVER! Recent footage came out from the official WCS people, and it gives a lot more detailed view of the cosplays, and adds a certain something to the performance. The skit's audio track has been dubbed over top, so there is no audience reaction.

END OF SERIES SPOILERS, just FYI.

And for those of you who are interested, we also have some decent photos taken during the performance!

Okay, a follow-up from the last question. How many here who are going to Anime Banzai in October would be interested in a Tutu photoshoot? Note, this idea is very tentative, as I'm still trying to work out some obstacles in getting myself to the con. (Plus, I would need to make a Tutu-related costume.) But if there's enough interest and enough people planning to come as Tutu characters, I will definitely see what might be able to be done!

Hey all! Thank you for the wonderful welcomes the other day!

I've never tried cosplay before (I'll admit, I always admired cosplayers however thought I was too cool for it ^^:;) but one of my friends has 75% convinced me to give it a go. I still haven't persuaded her to watch PT but I'm getting there :)

Anyhow, I was thinking of trying out Princess Kraehe, and went through the archives back to 2007 but couldn't find what I needed, so I have come to seek your help and experience, oh wise ones!

questions for the wise )

Thank you for taking the time to read through my queries, and muffins to those that can help me! If I end up making this and become brave enough to go through with it on the day, then I'll put some photos up :)

EDIT: Below is an image of what I've done so far. The tulle doesn't stay...horizontal so it won't last if I add the second layer of material on top :( I think I may go with [livejournal.com profile] astrobright68's idea of using some kind of board...however foam board is so so expensive where I live. I entertained the idea of using garden canes to try and support the tutu but then I came into the problem of what would keep the canes up. Ah, I'm rambling...

I'm hoping that someone here can help me with this. I'm planning a Princess Kraehe costume at the moment, and I was wondering if anyone could suggest any websites where I might be able to find a decent Kraehe wig?

Thanks!

Hey, folks!

Just a little something of lulz and possible interest to you guys that I found on YouTube while browsing today. It's a Tutu skit from Supernova 2009, which I thought was really clever and really cute. XD

Seems the person taping missed the last part of it, but the girl who cosplayed Tutu in this uploaded the backing skit (the thing with Fakir) in full and you can find that here.
[identity profile] tomoyoichijouji.livejournal.com
Oh look, Tomoyo is actually posting her Fanime con PT photos sometime before next year's con! (I'm serious, that's what happened for my Fanime 2008-09 photos 9_9;; ) A handful of them are shown on the page, others are by text link. If you'd like the original size resolution of a photo, let me know! =D

But advance warning, I like writing smartass little blurbs on my photo posts too much, so you'll find some random commentary by yours truly tagging along with all of 'em that the other people in the photos cannot be held responsible for. Humor me, humor me. XP

So...Are You Ready for This? 8D

Princess Tutu @ Fanime 2010! Image heavy! )

That's all folks! I hope you enjoyed it. ^^

Runs similar to the Help Haiti Relief community.  I belief that it's just getting out there on its first leg.  So, I'm going to try and promote it.  (Sorry if not allowed - will delete).

The basic idea is that creative-minded people can put their talents up for auction (e.g. making custom icons, writing fanfic, drawing fanart, or doing non-fandom-related crafts like making bead jewelry, crochet, etc.), and the money bid is then paid directly to Gulf Coast charities.

I will hope those of you in the Princess Tutu fandom will help out.  I live near the area and, it's getting pretty bad.

I, myself, will be auctioning off fanfic and a Princess Tutu-themed AMV/video.  Both of my starting bids are $1.

Thank you, everyone.

Hello fellow Tutu fans!

FanimeCon in San Jose, CA, has been attracting quite a large amount of Princess Tutu cosplayers, including many who are in this community. Last year's gathering was a huge success! ACP has a pretty big collection of PTT photos from last year here: http://www.acparadise.com/acp/cons.php?cyid=1987&t=4&s=361s#pics

This years gathering is scheduled for Saturday, May 29 at 10:30 am. It will be held right in front of the convention center by the fountains, on the Hilton side. We want to encourage everyone to come and visit, even if they are not cosplaying.

There is also a Facebook event page for the gathering. This will be an easy place to post picture links and other info after the event, as well as keep in touch with other cosplayers you may have met. You can find it here: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=113324152031778

Anyone else going to Fanime?

Fanime....

[identity profile] moonshadowmagic.livejournal.com
I hope this is allowable, and not spam of any flavor whatsoever, but:

If anyone following this community sees this and also goes to Fanime...

and notices STFU Studios (no, I don't want to work out what that stands for, I think) in the Artists Alley...

and one of the people minding the store answers to Starherd...

feel free to tell her that Moon Shadow Magic (the sister, as distinct from the sister's horse of the same name) says "Hi."

I have too many bills to go say "Hi" in person. Maybe someday.

There is no discount involved, just goodwill. And since you're out there, you'll already be enjoying yourself, but Thank You and have a great time anyway!

San Japan?

I have no idea whether this is allowed or not, but MGSEKJ.

So... in July I'll be heading to San Japan :3 in San Antonio to cosplay Rue. My cousins were going to come as Fakir and Ahiru but they backed out, jerks.

I have a question, and it is this: who, if anyone, is going to San Japan? I'm just... curious. OUTREAAACH!

While struggling with my first cosplay (Pique's school uniform, FYI), I was inspired by recent posts to end my lurking streak and seek advice within this very LiveJournal comm! :D

Though I have some previous experience with sewing and combining patterns, what I've been having a huge problem with this time around is finding the patterns that I need in sizes smaller than women's 6, and I was hoping that some of you might have advice about pattern finding/drafting, etc. And no, I can't afford to get something made, since I'm another poor student. XP

Actually, any advice whatsoever would be greatly appreciated. So thanks to anyone that replies... *trails into awkwardness*
