Ballet tidbit

When I was watching Tutu, I found myself trying to remember if men ever wear toeshoes. So I asked a family friend who loves ballet about it, and traditionally speaking they don't. Toeshoes were originally created just for women's feet. In the past 50 years or so, a few prominent male dancers have started using toeshoes, but most coreography wants the men in flats. And that's why Mytho and Fakir wear them (though advanced).
