Nicknames! I'm bored!

I'm on my laptop with no photoshop in sight, but am incredibly bored. Naturally, I have come to you guys because you'll tolerate me. The question is simple: Have you ever, for any reason, given the characters nicknames?
Personally, I'm guilty of doing this because I could not remember some of their frigging names. Between what my brain interpreted as gibberish names and all the instances of Spell My Name With an S, I seriously could not work out in my head who was who unless they were being referred to onscreen. Rather than refer to them as 'the sadist' or 'the one with no pants' I nicknamed them. Some characters got multiple names!
Fakir/Fakia/Fakiar/Mr. My Name Might Be Gibberish actually got named Pissy Bitch after his first appearance. I warmed to him eventually, and started calling him by the less vulgar label of Failure Knight. When discussion of his name's spelling came up anywhere, I found myself referring to him temporarily as Violin Juggler.
Mytho got fewer nicknames simply because I had some punny analog to his name in the word 'mute' and could more easily remember it. Still, he got a doozy of a complicated and embarrassing to explain nickname in 'Pikkouji'. Suffice to say, it's a portmanteau bastardization of 'ouji' and the name of the titular protagonist from Boku no Pico. The series is porn. Gay porn. Weird gay porn. I made the connection with the poor prince because both characters are effeminate-looking, oft-naked lads that I initially mistook for lolis. It's somewhat ironic that I derived from porn a nickname for a character that I find near impossible to sexualize.
Ahiru did not get a nickname! Her name was a direct, shameless pun on a Japanese word I was familiar with.
Autor got one before he even had a name: Poindexter. I've recently seen other people refer to him as such, and really hope that this predates me. I also refer to him as The Feral Nerd.
Rue might as well be called "SUH-WEET!" and "God DAMN it" for all the times I uttered that as my only response to/opinion of her actions/presence.
