Another one for the Roaring 20's

After seeing the outpouring of ideas based on the 1920's fanart from my fanart commission post, I thought I'd try my own hands at spinning a tale about the PT cast in the Jazz Age. XD Some of the character names I use will be different from the official version (Ahiru -> Duck, for example) because it makes more sense to me to use the English name rather than the Japanese name in this setting. Also, I will be assigning ethnic identities to the characters to better reflect the historical setting (New York City, 1924) and to explain some of the more unusual names the characters have. As such, some references to racial prejudice may be made, but they will be done so in a purely historical context.
Title: An Uncommon Witness
Pairing: Fakir/Ahiru, Mytho/Rue
Rating: PG-13
Warning: Descriptions of violence and suggestive themes
Summary: Duck lived a simple life, working as a shop girl at the Kotin Pointe Shoe Shop, until one November evening when she became the sole witness to a mob murder. Now caught in a tale involving a persistent detective, a dangerous mobster, and a beautiful actress, will Duck ever be able to return to her quiet life again? Or will the mob catch up to her first?
( The night everything began... )
