Did he or didn't he?

I recently came into contact with someone who said she thought Autor had killed the Bookmen leader in the final episode (by strangling him, incidentally). The thought never actually crossed my mind. I *was* actually going to have the guy be killed in one of my fics from striking the wall hard during the fight with Autor, but for several reasons, I decided not to go that route. That aside, what do you think happened in that scene? Do you think Autor killed the guy?
