poetoffire.livejournal.comSo, I've recently gotten into high-end desktop customization, and despite not being able to draw for crap, I made a cursor of the Sword of Dios from Revolutionary Girl Utena, an anime that often gets compared to PT and is absolutely fabulous so check it out, which can be found here. It includes many references to the anime and the general style of the visuals in it. I made it with the gallery at an Utena fansite, which is an awesome resource for the anime and has basically everything.
Then I made another cursor, this time with even more animated states. Now, I'd like to keep honing my skills, and making fans of under-appreciated shows happy. So I was wondering what type of cursor you all would like relating to PT.
I can animate simple sequences (spinning, glowing, etc.), but not complex things like, say, a feather blowing around. I was thinking of making Ahiru's pendant, which would turn into the Princess Tutu pendant and back during loading, but it doesn't have a defining point that people can use it as a cursor for.
So, I'd like to know what the fans would want as a cursor. It'd be even better if you included suggestions for states (loading, hovering over links, stylistic ideas for resizing arrows, etc.) It would be absolutely heavenly to have a couple references on whatever thing I'd make into a cursor handy.
Questions:
1. What type of PT themed cursor would you like to use?
2. Any ideas for creative states? Does the item itself have states (for instance, the sword I made has a power-up state that became the link hovering)?
3. Got any references for me? PT is woefully under-screencapped.
Also, I'll probably end up making one cursor, so I can't fulfill every request! These things are difficult. Also, keep in mind that to install it, you'd have to be willing download a program from the web that lets you have custom cursors. It's free and safe, but some just don't want to.
