Weird Fanart of Drosselmeyer

This Princess Tutu Fanart is my entry for the Princess Tutu Club August Contest, ment to depict secondary characters. I chose to illustrate Drosselmeyer and Edel, specifically the creation of Edel. This is non-canon, since it was never explained how Edel was created, but I pictured Drosselmeyer using the hearts of blue birds to create a heart jewel allowing Edel to move, do his bidding and eventually develop feelings. It's a bit gruesome and creepy. It's a given fact that I add gruesome to everything that I draw. Drosselmeyer was already a good 7 on 10 in the creepy-o-matic scale though...
