A One-shot I did a while ago

characters: Ahiru, Raven!Fakir
So that everybody knows what's going on: It's actually after the story ended, but Drosselmeyer decided turn back time to the beginning. Ahiru is the only one who remembers what happened. She also finds out that this time Fakir was kidnapped by the ravens. Therefore I took the liberty to make Fakir OOC ^^
I'll post it later on ff.net
___________
Cleaning duty. Just like she always had. Ahiru was still sitting in her classroom. The only movement in the room was the curtain, floating in the wind by an open window.
Ahiru sighed. Some things will never change, will they? She closed her eyes and lay her head down on her arms.
Why did he change?, she thought to herself. Why did this make the story more interesting?
The girl opened her eyes and looked out of the window. Everybody had already left the school, the sun was setting at the horizon. She had been longer in her thoughts than she wanted to. She lifted her head and stood up from her chair. There was no point in thinking about it. She had to do something! But what?
In times like these she always ran to Fakir for help. He always knew what had to be done. But she couldn't do it now, could she? Her heart ached a little, thinking about it.
“ Why so sad, princess?”
Ahiru looked up in surprise, her eyes grew big. The dark prince was sitting at the window with a smirk on his face. Dark clothes, red eyes. The son of the raven. Or so they say.
Ahiru didn't move. Her weary eyes were fixed on him.
“...Fakir...”
The boy grunted, still smiling. He moved away from the window.
“ I told you to not call me that.”
He stood by the principals desk, now facing the girl, who was still standing a few steps away from him.
“I told you to call me prince Rabe, didn't I?”
Ahiru frowned. I've taken over my fathers name, she remembered. It is an honor to me to have this name. It shows that he sees me as his heir.
She shook off the memory.
“ I told you he's not your father! There's no way!”, she shouted with a little desperation in her voice.
“ Hmm. So you still keep on telling me that lie? You got no proof.”
Ahiru opened her mouth but closed it again. She averted her eyes.
“ The proof is that I still remember...”, she whispered.
Fakir shrugged. He leaned against the desk facing the window. His arms were crossed.
“ Really, you have some imagination. You also said that I had the ability to make stories come true. Just like Drosselmeyer.” He chuckled.” We are in his story. And we all have to play along his plan.”
Ahiru looked at him again. She looked at him and couldn't find anything of the Fakir she knew. His fierce red eyes, his vicious smile, the way he talked like he didn't care about anything.
There was nothing.
“ That's not true. We can fight against it.”
“Just face it. It's destiny.”
“ There's no such thing!”, she screamed, furious. The prince looked at her with little surprise.
“ How can you say that! After everything we've been through!”, she screamed and made big steps towards him. The boy stayed calm.
“ We've been through nothing. You just dreamed about it.”
She shook her head fast.
“ It wasn't a dream! Drosselmeyer restarted the story but I still remember what happened the first time! It wasn't you, who was kidnapped by the raven but Rue! And you tried to protect Mytho from the Raven, even though you were scared at first. And you protected me!
When you found out about the spinner powers, you threw away your sword but you were still Mytho's knight!”
We couldn't have made it without you! I couldn't...
Fakir rubbed his head and sighed annoyed.
“ And here you go again! Seriously, did you hurt your head or something?”
“ FAKIR!”
“THAT'S NOT MY NAME!!!”
Ahiru breathed fast as he looked at her. He lifted himself from the desk and made a few steps. He crossed his arms behind his head.
“ Maybe I am a knight, but surely not to protect anybody. I'm a fighter. A conqueror. A dark knight of the raven king. People are terrified of me.”
Ahiru was reminiscing scenes she really wanted to forget. Fakir turned to her.
“ I hunt people for their hearts to offer them to the raven king. My father is hungry and very hard to please.”
She averted her eyes.
“ That's no reason for taking people's hearts!”
Fakir gazed at her.
“ I'm not what you expected me to be.”
“ ...It's not like that.”
The boy smiled.
“ So you still like me, you say?”
Ahiru looked at him, a light blush.
“ N-nobody said anything about liking!”
The prince shook his head.
“ Your role is to love the white prince and regain his heart shards. Father has been longing for his heart for a long time. It's no good if you fall in love with the dark one.”
Ahiru made a step towards him.
“ I didn't say anything like that! And I'm not returning the heart shards so the raven king could eat his heart!”
The boy gave her a vicious smile.
“ Then why are you blushing? Why do you try to convince me from the opposite?”
He moved closer to her. She moved back. She felt the desk behind her.
“ I-i don't.”
He didn't stop coming closer. This should be fun.
“ Is that so?”
He walked over to her with a smirk on his lips and dangerous eyes. Ahiru couldn't move backwards since the desk was in the way and before she thought of stepping aside, the so-called son of the raven put his hands on the desk, on the ride and on the left and herself in the middle.
Ahiru flinched at the closeness. The boy seemed to be amused.
“...Please stop .”
He tilted his head.
“ Oh do you really want me to?”, he said playfully. Push me away.
He came closer to her. Their faces almost touched.
“If you like me then just say it.” Let me hear you cry.
She bend back, putting an arm between them, almost like protecting herself.
“ Oh right you can't say it, can you? You're Princess Tutu after all.” Fall into despair.
In a moment he was leaning over her.
Ahiru held her breath.
“ But maybe there are other things you can do for me...”, he said with a vicious smile. Beg for your life.
“...Please stop...Fakir..”, she said with a sad voice.
But it wasn't enough for the prince. He wanted to see her in horror, shaking from fear, yelling and shouting, being not able to do anything against him. But she was...only sad. What was wrong with her? Didn't she know her place yet?
He leaned deeper down and touched her cheek with his hand.
“ How about a kiss?”, he said in a seductive way.
Ahirus eyes grew big in surprise. As there were no other reaction he leaned closer to her, slowly closing his eyes.
He expected her to push him away, to turn her face aside. That she'll say something to stop him. Then he would force her into it.
Just to show that she's hopeless, that she has no power over anything. That her only duty is to bring back the heart shards and stop daydreaming about stories that aren't true.
What he didn't expect, was the warm feeling on his lips, and hands burying in his hair, pulling him down.
He released himself fast with a gasp.
“ W-what are you doing?!”
He stood up and moved away from the table.
“You Idiot!”
Ahiru still lay down for a moment. She didn't see how he wiped off his lips.
“...Idiot you say?”, she almost whispered.
She now dared to tilt her head to him. He was holding his arm in front of himself. She could see a light blush on his cheeks.
The raven prince grew angry.
“ What the hell is your problem?! Doing something like this... aren't you scared at all?”
“ It's been a long time since I've been scared of you.”
She slowly raised herself. She gave him a meaningful look.
“But I'm more scared of loosing you, Fakir. The old you.”
“ Shut up!”, he screamed. What the hell was going on? Why did she mess him up so much? Why wasn't she scared? And what's with that stupid name!
“ Please, you have to remember! I can't go on without you!”, she cried. ” I can't live on my own! I'm just going to do something stupid. Please, let us end the story, together!”
Tears were rolling down her cheeks. Yes, this was the reaction he wanted. But in a quite different situation. He felt disgusted by her pleas of help. Towards him!
..Or was it that it was just new for him? What was this feeling?
The boy frowned irritated and wanted to walk away.
Ahiru stood up fast and grabbed his arm.
“What the-”
“You’re the idiot! “
“What !? What do you know! Let go of me!”
Ahiru shook her head and tightened her grip, burying her face into his arm.
“Is this really what you want? Do you want everybody to be afraid of you? You’re not like that! I know that you’re sometimes grumpy and you don’t like talking to people. But you need people to lean on! What about Charon, Rätsel and Mytho! What about me!”
The boy pushed her away without a second thought, irritation was written all over his face. Ahiru gave a little scream and fell to the floor. She looked up to him. Her face was still wet from the tears but she had stopped crying.
He met her gaze but then averted his eyes and hid his lips behind his arm.
“ I don’t know what the hell you’re talking about…”
She clenched her fists.
“I can't hear this anymore. Do you really think that I would just come up with a story like that? I know it because Drosselmeyer told me that it's true. He turned back time and changed the story!”
“ He could be lying. It's his story after all, and you're just one of his characters.” He put down his arm and showed her a smirk.” You ain't that special.”
Ahiru got furious. She heard enough already. She stood up and made two steps towards the raven boy, breathing heavily.
“Do you even know how worried I was since I found out?! I thought the raven blood would hurt you, just like it did with Rue and Mytho.” I thought that you'd be lonely...
The prince looked down on her. “ I am a raven. Why would it hurt me? ”
“ You're not a raven! You're human!”
He lost his temper. He couldn't stay calm with this girl.
“ You know what? I don't get it! You're in love with Mytho but then... then you do something like this! What the hell is wrong with you?!”
“ I told you I'm reliving the whole story here! Things have changed!”
“ It's still the same story!”
“ No it's not! This time I'm in love with you!”
The raven prince opened his mouth to say something, but just before that he realized what the girl had said. Did she really say it?
Looking at her face one needed to wonder if she realized it herself. Ahiru gave him a serious look, almost mad.
The boy snorted.
“ Not bad, I almost believed you. You don't seem to be such an honest person after all.” He looked at her with dangerous eyes. “ You better stop daydreaming. Next time, I won't let you mess with me like this.”
“ No wait! Fakir!”. Ahiru reached out her hand to grab him but only a black raven feather was left. It softly landed on the ground. She sighed. He was gone again. Why couldn't she get through to him?
Only slowly she realized what had happened just moments ago. She touched her lips with a shaking hand, her eyes growing big. Tears were falling down again.

Ahiru buried her face in her hands, crying heavily. She let herself down on the floor, her legs were just too weak.
This was her first kiss, her first confession. And all she could do was crying.
