It's been a while since I posted anything since school has started. But after almost a month's work I've finish another piece. I hope you will like it. ^_^
Unlike my previous PT fanart this one isn't fluffy or cute. Instead I tried to carry some of the message of the show through a bit of symbolism. The painting of Tutu represents the Fate as dictated by Drosselmeyer's story. Fakir's right hand represents the sacrifices they had to endure and Ahiru with the candle is the "shinning hope" glowing in the darkness although one has to think that that's a might bright candle Ahiru has in her hands. XD Perhaps these seem a little contrived but when I started drawing this picture I just wanted to do something with a serious atmosphere. Maybe this is a sign I might start draw more somber toned fanart, but who knows. :)
If anyone's curious about the production process...well, it's actually pretty complicated especially considering it wasn't all planned out. I first drew the outlines in a sketchbook then color-copied the pencil lines (many blessings to the color copier in the school library btw), used a combination of Copic markers and colored pencils, darkened some of the lines with pencils, and finally cleaned the image up a little on Photoshop.
