Hello. New Person here. This is Jess, a newbie who is watching the series for the first time and loving it so far!

I'm already getting set to write a fanfic for it. The Story is called "The Kitten Prince." 

Basic Premis: Though Drosslemeyer is supposed to be dead, a new story has begun. A Courageous young Prince is cursed by an evil Witch Queen after shattering his Kingdom's treasure, the Jewel of the Sun in order to keep it from her hands. His quest to restore the jewel, break the curse and save his kingdom brings him to Kinkan Town, where he crosses paths with a duck and an ex-knight turned writer.

I already have a draft of the Fairy Tale where the Prince comes from so I guess I'll include that as a preview.

Prologue: The Prince and the Witch Queen

 

Once Upon a Time... There was a very Courageous Prince. The Prince was known far and wide for his daring and his skill in battle. He traveled from one end of his father’s kingdom to another, fighting monsters and bandits, protecting the people and winning the hearts of many maidens. There was no enemy he faced that he could not defeat and no danger he would not brave, but while he was admired by many, some of the older citizens couldn’t help but wonder; Is it truly a good thing, to have a Prince who charges in where angels fear to tread?

The Prince was not only brave, he was also an arrogant young man. Often he listened to the tales of his exploits and he allowed the people’s adoration of him to color his own views of himself. He believed himself untouchable and capable of defeating any enemy that came his way. There was nothing, in his mind, that he couldn’t do. Unfortunately, in reality this was not so.

There was one thing the Prince seemed unable to accomplish. The Kingdom’s boarders were protected from outside threat by powerful magic in the form of the Jewel of the Sun, a magical gemstone passed down the royal line for many generations. Only the member of the royal family who posses the will and character necessary to Rule could wield the full power of the Jewel and only the one who could command the full power of the Jewel could be crowned rightful heir. The Prince was the only possible living heir to the throne, but no matter how hard he tried, he could never command the Jewel’s full power. It was a failing his father the King often contributed to his brashness and arrogance, but the Prince refused to listen.

One day, the King fell ill. No one was sure of the cause. Many healers tried to cure the King, but no matter how hard they tried, none of them could. It wasn’t long after that, that the kingdom’s enemies to the north, the powerful Witch Queen and her armies attacked.

The Prince and the Kingdom’s armies fought bravely, but the Witch Queen’s magic made fighting difficult and the King’s illness prevented him from aiding them with the Jewel. Witch Queen sought to concur the kingdom so that she could posses the Jewel of the Sun for herself, but in the final battle, the Prince thwarted her plans. He smashed the Jewel against a rock, shattering it into pieces that scattered everywhere.

Enraged, the Witch Queen cursed the Prince, changing his form into that of an ordinary kitten and banishing him from the Kingdom...
