Princess Tutu Secret Santa 2008?

Okay, just to get the ball rolling out there... I don't know about everyone else, but I really enjoyed doing the Princess Tutu-themed Secret Santa last year that itsplashes was kind enough to organize for us.

Now a few of you might have noticed this slightly noisy group floating around here from time to time from a Deviant Art club called Club-Tutu. We were discussing holding a Secret Santa ourselves, and thought, "Wouldn't it be great if we could do it as a joint event with the princesstutu LJ comm?"

So, I got in contact with itsplashes to see if we could work together and make it a joint event, and it turns out, she's super-busy with school this semester, and was thinking about asking for help anyway. So, with her permission (and the promise to defer to her opinion if I make any mistakes), these wacky Club-Tutu Admin ( asatira and lycorne ) are hoping we can run a cross-community Secret Santa.

It won't really be any different for the LJ users, we'll push all the DA folk over here for sign-ups and such.
We'd have all participants fill out a survey in regards to their PTT preferences and what they would rather receive as well as what kind of gifts they can give.
There will be a few people that are on Deviant Art only and would have to post "anonymously" and identify themselves by their DA username in their comment.

But the big questions are...

If a lot of people are really against it, we can certainly arrange things to operate the SS events separately, but we think we can make it work. If someone who can only make LJ-related gifts (icons, layouts) gets drawn as SS for someone who is only on DA, we'll put them back in the hat, and draw someone else. We'll double-check the match-ups so that doesn't become a problem.

(For those people also in Club-Tutu, yes, I'm announcing things here first. Once we get the dates organized, I'll make the SS announcement over at Club-Tutu too.)
