Cosplay help...?

Anyway, I've decided I'm cosplaying Knight!Fakir @ Ikkicon in Austin, Texas. (Only on the last day, though. >< -will be out of town the two other days-)

Even then, I'm hoping to get the gist of the clothing/etc. done sooner, because my friend and I are going to be making cosplay videos...we haven't thought of a name for ourselves yet, but it's going to have a variety of cosplayed characters within a close-knit group of friends.
(ie: I'm hoping to do a 'Cupcake Time w/ Fakir (feat. Marluxia/Zetsu)!' skit/vid/thing. xD -can't wait-)

In any case, I need a little help. >->

I know what I'm doing with Fakir's outfit, but I have no idea what I'm doing with his hair (a familiar question for past Fakir cosplayers, no doubt). The easiest solution I came up with was dying my hair black and gelling it, but obviously this isn't a method that involves dressing up in Fakir on a whim. And I'm definitely not permanently dying my hair black.
So, anyone have a good wig suggestion?
Or perhaps a tutorial on wig-making that I might have to take up? xD
...or even better, a suggestion that doesn't involve a wig? <3
