After months of being elusive and basically inactive, my art must finally bit me hard a few nights ago. And after I did a few sketches, I realized they started to have a theme to them - and they were also all related to the Polychromatic RP that I play Fakir at.

And so I composed them into this series of sketches and dialogs/explanations that go with them. If you don't want to get lost while reading this, I'd suggest looking through what's said about each picture so you can make some sense of it (even if you have no clue about Poly - here's one thing: It has many modern-type things in "The City", technology, and our dear PT crew lives in an abandoned Opera House that they've been slooowly spiffing up over time. Another thing to be clear about here is that the characters at Poly have aged from canon. I brought Fakir a little later than post-series, at 17, and I've been playing him almost two years now,  so he's 19 - even though most of these sketches are pretty chibi-like anyway).

Warnings: PG? There's nothing offensive here. These are all little sketches and nothing is really meant to be a work of art or anything of the like. Although for Anonymous's sake, I ALMOST went back and drew Fakir in a pedobear costume by suggestion of Rue-mun. Sorry, anon. You'll have to wait until next time. : (

Fakir's morning usually start off pretty early. He's dubbed himself the "protector" of the Opera House and thus considers it his responsibility to be the watchful eye. (And with good reason, actually, as the Opera House has been the stage for many unpleasant incidents.)

His writing exercises are often the first thing he tackles - as it's important that he's ready to use the writing powers, if necessary. (Especially with Drosselmeyer's return to the City.)

...Unfortunately, Fakir has little patience and becomes easily frustrated. Most of his morning "attempts" are bound to wind up in the waste basket.

At some point after he's given up on writing for the time being, Fakir will begin his morning "patrol". Which is basically stalking around the Opera House, sword attached at the hip, and looking for anything out of the ordinary.

Every once in a while, after he's done with his inside rounds, he'll unlock the Opera House and head outside, looking for anyone lurking around...

And of course, should Fakir come across a stranger lurking around outside the Opera House, he's most hospitable. ...If it's one thing he's learned in the City, it's that no matter how innocent a face someone may have, a demon could very well lurk behind it. (His paranoia happens to attach said view to nearly EVERYONE he meets, however, even if they really are harmless.)

Next order of the day is likely to be.... some fight/squabble/disagreement with Ahiru. Fakir considers her pretty much the one responsible for either getting into or causing many of the bad situations that take place (and the other reason he's particularly harsh on her is because she actually died once in the City, but she doesn't remember. He  has never forgiven himself for entrusting her safety to another person).

...And Ahiru is, of course, very stubborn and often unwilling to comply with most of Fakir's demands. Particularly when she's interested in meeting and greeting all kinds of people in the City. Even ones that are outright dangerous, in hopes that she can help them. In the end, however, Fakir's reasoning tends to sway her slightly. In some cases.

In other cases... Ahiru will go so far as to bring someone back on her own, regardless of whether or not she should be associating openly with potentially-dangerous strangers.

This is actually a rare instance, but in Fakir's eyes, it will ALWAYS look like said person is suspicious/dangerous in some way. And "Fakir vision" tends to put things into the picture that aren't really there. ...Like a bloody axe. And sinister expression. Even on some seemingly innocent young boy. ...When it comes down to it, Fakir wishes Ahiru would just stop adopting "strays" that are supposedly in need of help. His nerves can't take it, at times.

Now, in the instance of "Curse Days", which are strange occurrences that happen every few days and can have effects that vary from changing your appearance to actually changing your mind, either in silly or more often times...dangerous ways. If said day IS a curse day, none of the above so far would likely occur at all, should Fakir be affected by said curse.

...But who needs creepy strangers with axes when a cursed!Fakir might be even scarier, anyway?

And of course, the effects of curses will usually leave a memory of what happened behind. (But not ALL the time.) In some cases, Fakir finds that word travels fast. And unfortunately sometimes reaches ears he rather wishes they didn't.

Dear sister of snark in particular, seems to like picking on Fakir. And naturally, he takes teasing so very well.

[ And to end any confusion about this, Rue-mun/Lore and I play Fakir and Rue on Poly as brother and sister. This is due to a theory that me and Haley came up with over a year ago. And we liked it enough that we thought it would be fun to play them as siblings on Poly (they found out about their origins on a curse day where they were able to speak to their parents). Believe it or not, they actually get along pretty well a lot of the time. And snark at each other constantly, but not in a hostile way. ]

If the curse had instead happened the day BEFORE, chances are Fakir will take some (or a lot...the whole day, in some cases) time to himself to mope consider his cursed actions.

In states like this, he will usually lock his door and not speak to anyone. >>

That is not to say, however, that he won't be available if someone he cares about is having a hard time. Whether due to a curse or something else. Sometimes it's Ahiru, but most often times the person who takes things more harshly than he does (and also tends to hide her problems from others), is Rue.

Fakir actually takes a secret pride in having yet ANOTHER person he can play a sort of 'big brother' too, only he actually IS the big brother in this case. And he's fallen into the role with more ease than he expected. He's a bit frustrated with himself when he can't seem to help, but he at least offers his support in the form of a brotherly hug or a simple offer of a warm cup of tea.

....Of course, emo never lasts when Ahiru happens to be around. Particularly when she's so blissfully unaware of many things that happened for over a year in the City before she left and returned with no memory of any of it. And one of those key things is the little fact that she dated Fakir for the course of nearly 10 months. And they were very happy together. Fakir, however, has not forgotten a thing. And although his initial action toward her loss of memory was to simply put everything behind him...

...His patience can often wear thin when she does nothing but blabber on incessantly about another guy. Particularly her City crush, Riou.

After all the emo time, or curse issues, or things that make him angry or upset... Fakir likes to take some kind of break from everything. If only to calm down and collect himself. It might consist of reading, or perhaps sword practice to vent frustration, but more often than not...

He simply likes to stick on a set of headphones (something he considers to be a plus side of being in the City, even though he would likely never admit it) and listen to some music. Fakir is especially fond of certain classical pieces, although he's developed an almost guilty pleasure for more modern types of music with lyrics, as well.

But of course, many days are not complete without some form of trouble or unpleasant happening occurring. Peace is a rare thing in the City, after all. Whether it might be due to a curse or just a bad decision on a certain moron's part...

...It's become rather common for him to bail a certain redhead out of trouble. In the particular instance above, one of the people in the City that Fakir has low tolerance for in most cases, a man named Kline, encouraged Ahiru to try drinking wine at a formal gathering/dance (hosted by the City, itself). Even after receiving strict warnings from Fakir, Ahiru insisted that she was grown-up enough to at least try it. ...And as Fakir feared, she could barely even tolerate a few sips of alcohol. And then proceeded to make a giggly foolish mockery of herself until he literally dragged her away from the scene. (The Icy Formal was actually on ice, thus it was easy to pull her across by way of using her shawl/scarf.)

Safely back at the Opera Abandoned for the night, Fakir will often hop onto the City network online and look over the various posts (he will often do something similar early in the day, as many people's posts will often reflect whether or not a curse has been inflicted). Over his time in the City, he has learned how to make codes and how to break them, both at length, and his skills with a computer are actually very good in a technical sense. His laptop has become his means of extracting information from people without their knowing, as well as highly securing anything that he needs to be kept away from the rest of the City.

...Of course, these skills also come in handy when Ahiru is jumping all around the network and he needs to keep track of who or what she is speaking to (or carelessly inviting to the Opera House without consent). He follows her IP and has a special code that keeps tabs on her internet whereabouts because he's a paranoid stalker concerned about the trouble she gets herself into. For others in the City, it probably doesn't come as a surprise when Fakir butts in on any conversation she's a part of that he believes to be taking an unwelcome path. (Unrelated, by this time of night, he has probably dragged out another secret liking of his, which happens to be Dark Chocolate Cheesecake Swirl ice-cream. He conveniently often hides a pint of it in the back of the Opera House freezer. His liking for it comes from a curse day that was related to ice cream flavors.)

That's not all that Fakir uses his computer for, though. There's something much more embarrassing that he does on the network, often late at night, when everyone is sleeping...

...Said thing being Online Gaming. Particularly MMORPGs. He thought they were pointless and stupid when he had first heard of them, naturally. But boredom plus the events of a curse coerced him into trying one. From then on, he's used it almost like a pick-me-up for when he's feeling particularly useless. Hard work and effort pays off in games, even if it often doesn't in reality. (And he often likes to vent frustrations by going and battling a bunch of pixel-ated enemies). He has a special fondness for his Not-so-useless Lord Knight character, and his Professor. ...But if you were to insinuate that he liked/enjoyed any such game, he would naturally scoff and tell you that you're an idiot.

As the day comes to a close, he'll make sure the Opera House is locked up tight to keep people from sneaking in during the middle of the night (and in most cases, do another round of patrolling while he's at it). And after it seems like everything is normal enough for the time being...

The poor guy is probably just about read to collapse.

Don't worry, Fakir. The next day could be even worse. <3

[ End~ ]

...That concludes my cracky little sketchfest of Poly!Fakir's day. XD Hope you enjoyed it? ...I know a lot of the sketches are poor, but I really wasn't going for anything advanced, much less something I put a lot of time into doing when I made this set of pictures. It was all meant to be for fun and I didn't really pay much attention to various mistakes and other things.

Any feedback is most welcome and appreciated~! ...As are questions, if you actually read through all that and are very confused as a result. XD;;; ...I had too much fun with this. Ehehehe
