About a month ago I loaned my Princess Tutu boxset to my brother, and his whole family watched it together - he and his wife, their four-year-old daughter, and even their two-year-old son was crazy for it. Apparently it's the only show he watches with rapt attention and was thrilled whenever it was on. My bro said he'd been wanting to see it since I always talked about it, and he felt less weird watching it since he had a four-year-old girl to rationalize. :P
Anyway, they all fell in love with it. My bro was getting impatient because he wanted to see the ending but had to wait for everyone to be together! XD So they (and especially my niece) had a very Tutu Christmas - they got a boxset of their own, plus my friend made my niece Tutu's necklace. She made me one a while ago, the one I posted here with the gorgeous stone and gold chain, but she made a "little kid" version with the pendant out of resin and on a gold stretchy cord to prevent breakage. Also I got my niece that cute, CUTE doujinshi that mangaka_chan made so she could have a Princess Tutu storybook to read. :3 She got ballerina pajamas, and a tutu, and a crown to wear.
The best part? She spins around, holds out her hand, and says "I'm Princess Tutu! Come dance with me!" And the other best part, my two-year-old nephew, who can only say a few words, whenever music from Princess Tutu comes on the classical station, he recognizes it and yells out "ZUZU!!!"
Just spreading the Tutu-love, one person at a time. XD
