A little music, and a PTT Valentine's card

It feels like I've been doing a lot of Princess Tutu/musicals cross-over work this month. Huh. Go figure.
I already posted the Beauty & the Beast illustrations here earlier, but shortly after, we held the first of the now-monthly DA Club-Tutu contests with the theme of "Broadway Musicals"...
This wasn't such a great piece, just a quick chibi sketched up for the purpose of advertising the contest, but the idea of the PTT cast putting on A Chorus Line amuses me.

Then there I started work on my actual entry to the contest, Femio and Fakir cast as the leads in a gender-bent version of Wicked.
I started with a rough-inked drawing that I ended up scrapping because I wasn't satisfied with the poses or anatomy.

And my final version became a one page comic illustrating the song, "What Is This Feeling?".

By then theere had been an absurd number of Wicked entries for the contest, but I'd been working on this piece for a while, so I couldn't really bear to change it there at the end. Plus, I felt my interpretation is a bit, ah... Unique. :D
Femio pulls off the pink well, no?
And my imaginary
Wicked Cast:
Galinda: Femio
Elphaba: Fakir
Nessarose: Autor
Boq: Rue
MadameMister Morrible: Mr. Cat
Fiyero: Ahiru
The Wonderful Wizard of Oz: Drosselmeyer
I'm now in the position of needing to resist the urge to illustrate more based on this cross-over gender-bent casting. I don't have time for it! Bad plotbunnies. TT_TT
In a final bit of additional news and art, Club-Tutu is getting into swing with its second contest of the year, "Will You Be Mine?" (We'll be holding one every month until December.)
Check out the link under the image for contest details if you'd like to participate.

FEB 2010 Contest by =elfgrove on deviantART
Prompt:
It has come to our attention that Club-Tutu has never done the stereo-typical Valentine's-themed contest. So this year, get ready with the mush, because LOVE is in the air!
It's Valentine's Day in Kinkan Town, and the characters are declaring their love via candy, flowers, and --most importantly-- Valentine's cards and love letters.
Illustrate a picture or write a fan fic about the Princess Tutu characters delivering their declaration(s) of love. Or, you can illustrate a Princess Tutu-themed Valentine's card. Your entry MUST include a sappy poem or similar cutesy/cheesy saying that you would find on a typical Valentine's Day card.
And a large version of the "Valentine's Card" can be seen here:
