Last year I drew a Jazz Age inspired Princess Tutu fanart for a request. As I was drawing it I started to formulate a story in my head (which I often do) that goes along with what I'm drawing. But the story evolved and grew into a full-fledge plot so I started writing it down and became "An Uncommon Witness". It's been more than a year now and 8 chapters later I realized I need to update the characters' appearance since they've grown so much since the initial inception of this AU. This picture shows some of the costumes worn by the characters as I imagine them to be, namely the character's everyday wear and their evening wear for the opera gala in chapter 8. I started out wanting to use this as a guide for future fanart but I ended up spiffing it out so much I thought I might as well make it a fanart piece. ^^;

I also tried my hand at the art deco style and while I really like the art deco style I have no idea if I'm pulling it off correctly. XD;; That being said, the costumes pictured here are for the most part, I think, accurate to the time period. One fun part about this AU is describing how life was like back in the Roaring 20's and how people lived on a day-to-day bases. The things you discover is really quite interesting and amazing sometimes. ;)

Anyway, if you're interested in taking a peep at the story, it's posted HERE on ff dot net.
