Background Notes Translation

Hello everyone! I’m new here. Nice to meet you!!

So…for my first post in the community I wanted to share my attempt of translating some of the information that was in the Princess Tutu Guide Book scans.

 

 

For today, I will post the information about some of the places that have been visited in the Princess Tutu world. I hope you find it interesting. (Even if the translations are a bit rough)

Backgrounds

あおとあの家。Autor’s house

ホテルとレストランを経営するあおとあの家。この一角に彼は自らの目的の為部屋を作っています。
The hotel and restaurant that is managed (at) Autor’s house*. This corner was built for his own purposes.

*This could also be translated as: ‘The hotel and restaurant that is run by Autor’s family.’ Since the word for house (家) is sometimes loosely used to describe one’s family.

 

再現されたドロッセルマイヤーの部屋 Reproduction of Drosselmeyer’s room

あおとあがドロッセルマイヤーの力を得ようと, 彼の仕事場を再現した部屋です。その情報収集能力の高さには驚かされます。
(So that) Autor could obtain Drosselmeyer’s power, his (Drosselmeyer’s) workspace was recreated. That information gathering ability is highly amazing.

 

猫先生の部屋 Neko Sensei’s room

金冠学園にある猫先生の部屋です。ここで彼は教師としての業務をこなし, そして時に結婚に対しての熱い想いを巡らすのです。
Neko Sensei’s room at Gold Crown Academy. Here he does work as a teacher, and sometimes has passionate thoughts about marriage go around and around (in his mind).

 

みゅうとが隠れ住む廃屋 The abandoned house where Mytho hid and lived in

鴉と化してきて人前に出られなくなったみゅうとを, るうが匿った廃屋です。人が入らなくなって随分長い時間がたった様子です。
The deserted house where Rue sheltered Mytho who transformed into a raven, and no longer went out in public. It seems like people haven’t entered (the house) for quite a long time.

 

This was one of the least “wordy” parts of the notes, but it was still quite a lot of work to translate. ^_^;

I just wanted to do this since (as a far as I know) no one has really translated the official notes before--and there is such interesting information in there.

I might do some more translating later.
