There are three instances when Ahiru corralls a heart shard that has something to do with Rue. The first is in Episode Two, when the anteater girl (can't remember her name, sorry) is possessed by the feeling of resentment, which gets a foothold after she feels rejected by Rue. The second instance is in Episode 9, when the feeling of obsession manifests by making Malen obsessed with Rue. And finally, we have Episode 13, in which the feeling of love chooses Rue over Ahiru.
What struck me about all that is that, even as Mytho chose Princess Tutu, his heart - his true self, in other words - was doing something altogether different. In short, it looks like Mytho ending up with Rue was foreshadowed almost from the very beginning.
Also, speaking of pairings, what do you all ship? I know that there's a lot of Fakir/Ahiru shippers here (myself included) but what other pairings do you like? And is there anyone who (gasp!) doesn't like Fakir/Ahiru?
