So, us mods have been discussing and weighing ideas suggested to us, and thus we have a few new things to let you know about the tags!

1) The tags "pairing: character1/character2" have now been changed to "pair: character1 + character2". Since we use that tag in more general terms, including things besides romantic material, we agreed this was a clearer, more accurate way to label the tags. They still work exactly the same way, though.

2) If you'll look on the main comm page, there are now not one but two tagging related links. One is "Tags List", which now refers to the actual LJ generated list of tags with entry tally and such, and the other is "Tagging Guide", which links to that entry with the introduction and explanation of all currently used tags.

Now for things we'd like to ask you guys about -- here's a short and simple matter brought to our attention, about the main comm page's layout and entry display.

Besides that, we're currently working on the discussion serials and its logistics and such. We're thinking right now of having them be posted by the mods weekly, though we're also considering every two weeks. If you have any thoughts on this possible future activity, go ahead and make them known!

And, most true to the subject line, we are thinking also of doing a main page banner and profile layout contest for the comm! We're thinking they'd be separate contests so you could enter either or both. Still in idea stages though; any suggestions as to how we should do these?

We're also discussing other things in the meanwhile, so you might be hearing back from us again soon!

As you may have noticed, to be able to put the new tag entry for easy access on the sidebar there, I had to change the layout. Then that brought up another thing entirely -- maybe it's time for the comm's layout to get an overhaul as well. :D

So, since none of us mods are really layout junkies, we'd like to ask you all if you think a Tutu Comm Layout Contest would be something you guys'd like to have! We pretty much could use anything, from a header to formatting to a profile layout and even a comm icon and mood theme. But at the very least, a header with a corresponding layout, I'm thinking. What say y'all, graphics makers out there? Interested?

If so, how would you like it to work? We'd probably have it held for some period of time, and then have the comm vote on the ones that people make. Obviously the one that wins will get to have their layout on the Tutu comm for all to see, but would anyone be further enticed by prizes of any sort? The only thing I can offer is art requests, but if anyone else is willing to do something, feel free to mention that too!

After some discussion in the entry below, it seems like there are a few things we'd like the comm's feedback on regarding how we'll tag things in the future.
